The booking process is very easy. You can live with local people and be the part of their lives. As my opinion comparing with another accommodation sites it's more easily to find what you need. For some hosts you have to pay in advance and pay rest of the payment plus city tax after arriving. I'm very happy that i find this site.
The area I lived in is very quiet and secure. There were no tourists at all, so you can feel like a local one who lives there. There were a big market nearby so you can buy everything you need on the way home. The train station is nearby too. You can easily reach the city center by train, tram or bus.
If you're in Rome for the first time, you should wake up early in the morning and go to the center before the sunrise. You can the the Trevi fountain without crowds before 6am.
The Trevi fountain in the early morning.
As it will be crowded after the sunrise. You can watch sunrise on the terraces of the hotels. Or you can climb the hill and watch it from the park- for example Giardino degli Aranci.
With lovely host Anna.
As it was not my first time in Rome, this time I decided to go to non typical places- as to the Zoo Marine, to the beach nearby. I attended to a concert near Vatican museum - called candellight. I practiced my italian. Met new people. Signed up for a photography courses in Academia l'italiana. Briefly I had an amazing week!
